Hi! I’m Barry, the creator of Dancing Skelton Foods & More.  Not counting my middle school stint in Junior Achievement, I have been on a journey of self employment since 1979. As a peddler, I have festival vended, street corner vended and fund-raised for many hospitals, all of which after forty years I still enjoy.  Nothing has been more fun, however, than what I established when I moved to Prescott, AZ– The Dancing Skelton.  With help I created food, various skeletons and other merchandise.  I love being part of the community. For 10 years I was a fixture on the corner of Gurley and Cortez where you may have seen me in LeFebvre’s Boutique, dressed up as a Chili Pepper or you may even have taken a selfie with me while I was taking a siesta in front of the store.

 

I am fortunate to have been asked to serve on the board of directors of two great nonprofit organizations– The Elk’s Theatre which provides entertainment for our community and The Greater Prescott Outdoor Fund which funds many outdoor recreation activities as well as activities for children and a wide variety of community activities including the outdoor summer concert series.

 

Since 2012 I have had my retail location where I am visited by the greatest customers on the planet! They spread the word and Dancing Skeleton has been shown the love by many of the fine establishments in our community and beyond. I am often asked if the Dancing Skeleton has anything to do with the Grateful Dead; you decide, but there was this one night on August 22,1976– The Keystone in Berkley, CA.
